An observation I had is that the cabin has been used heavily this summer due to COVID-19. After we left, my dad’s older sister’s family came, then his younger sister’s family a week later. It is surprising they are up there late into October because the cabin is not insulated. We have to heat up the cabin using a fireplace. Throwing it back to the good old days! Also, because of COVID-19, we cannot go inside my grandparents’ farmhouse and take showers. Instead, you got to do the bucket of water with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. In my family’s case, we can use my parents’ Airstream to take an outside shower. My own family has been up 3-4 times already. In previous years, we went up at least once per summer. I think it is mainly because people do not travel far during a pandemic. The cabin itself is like a vacation away from the noises of city life.
