The Department of Art and Design at the University of Northwestern–St. Paul is a small but dynamic team offering degrees in animation, visual arts education, graphic design, and studio art. Weekly meetings with John Printy, Associate Professor of Design, and Michelle Turner, Office Coordinator, brought together teaching assistants from each program to connect, check in, and plan the week ahead. Take a look at the headshots I took of them here!
I updated a trifold mailer that unfolded into a poster as a thank-you for prospective students who visited campus. I incorporated feedback from Printy and Michelle and used photos sourced from #UNWcreates. I also created the 2019-2020 Exhibition Guide, combining original photography and library images while adhering to university branding. The guide was available for visitors at the Denler Gallery.
I believe these were the most effective solutions to represent the department accurately. It was also a great experience getting to know the other TAs and students in the Mac lab during my TA shifts.
