Family Forever Designs is a mother-daughter business based in Anoka, Minnesota, offering affordable, unique consumer goods. The goal was to design a logo, business cards, and stickers for an upcoming craft fair while staying within a limited budget.
To better capture the client’s brand vision, I asked owner Melissa for keywords to describe her business. Inspired by the birdhouses in her backyard and family photos, I designed the logo in Illustrator using a color scheme chosen by Melissa. The logo features three birdhouses representing family members, symbolizing the close-knit nature of the business. The incorporated hearts reflect the company’s warmth, friendliness, and care for their clients. To complete the design, I selected a typeface that complemented the tall birdhouses’ shape. The final logo, colors, and typeface were applied to business cards and stickers.
Over three weeks, I designed a logo that reflected the business owner’s values and created business cards and stickers for the client. Through collaborative dialogue, I developed a solution that aligned with the client’s vision and reinforced the importance of active listening throughout the design process. The client was thrilled with the final result, and I believe the business cards and promotional stickers will leave a lasting impression on her customers.
